Finding a Balance To Gain Self Acceptance
Are you someone that seems to have it all together on the outside but in reality mask your struggles? Maybe you are often seen as resilient, successful, creative, and helpful yet you are challenged daily with perfectionism, isolation, and self-neglect. These are the reasons many seek therapy to find relief. I am a licensed clinical social worker and addiction specialist and my specialty involves working with children and adults that have experienced a life stressor, trauma, or abuse that continues to impact them physically and emotionally.
In therapy, we would work to find a greater connection within to feel more embodied and a warm acceptance of self. I understand the importance of finding a good therapeutic connection. I encourage clients to come as they are without fear of being judged.
I integrate brain and body-based therapies into therapy that focuses on addressing trauma. A holistic approach takes into consideration all aspects and experiences that impact them as a “whole person.” Connecting again with yourself to fully understand your experiences allows forward movement and a more hopeful outlook.
